The Story Behind "Black Sunday Apparel"
On July 17, 1955, Walt Disney dedicated the Happiest place on earth with a crowd of around 28,000 people (17,000 more than expected). As beautiful and magical as the park is today, opening day was a hot mess. Melting sidewalks, malfunctioning rides, absence of water fountains, Disneyland's opening day was less than ideal for how Mr. Disney wanted his park to be viewed. Cast Members coined that day, July 17, 1955, "Black Sunday."
Being such a history buff myself, when it was time to come up with a name for this brand, I wanted something with deep meaning and history behind it. What better way to do that than to start from the beginning of where my inspiration to create this brand started. I present to you, Black Sunday Apparel.
